Attendance
Attendance is taken at each class. Good attendance is important, as absence and tardiness can hinder class progress according to our syllabus. Attendance affects all children when  choreographing the recital pieces because the children depend on each other to be there.

Safety

Dance shoes MAY NOT be worn outside. It ruins the sole of the shoe and your child will not be allowed to use them in the dance room. There is absolutely no running in the dance studio! Please keep all children away from the desk area of the lobby. If banging on the window cannot be controlled, I will permanently keep the curtains closed. No food or drinks are allowed in the lobby and all trash brought in is to be thrown out.  Please instruct your child that they are NOT ALLOWED to leave the studio unless accompanied by an adult that they know. This is important as the few minutes between classes are very crowded and we are answering any questions parents may have. We cannot watch every child, so please do not ask us to. Parents should arrive on time to pick up their children, especially for the last class of the day.
If you are more than 10 minutes late without a courtesy phone call for the last class of the day, your account will be charged a $5.00 babysitting fee.

Other Information

Absolutely no gum chewing is allowed inside of the classroom and no food is to be brought in. Water is recommended. You may purchase a bottle of water or a snack at the studio for $1.00. All snacks and water brought into the back dressing area must be in a sealed container or lunch box type storage. Please be sure to throw out all trash! Please keep all dance wear and shoes in a bag with your name on it. Please put your child’s name in all shoes and belongings. Rhythms Dance Academy is not responsible for lost items!
